π CH Racing Services β Mid-Month Update (1stβ15th July)
July hasnβt started in the way any of us would have hoped.
After the first 15 days of the month, the figures currently stand at:
* Each-Way Bets: -3.6 pts
* Win Bets: -18.25 pts (-14.25 pts BSP)
* Combined Portfolio: -21.85 pts
Itβs obviously disappointing, and Iβm not going to pretend otherwise.
The frustrating part is that it hasnβt felt like weβve been miles away. Weβve found plenty of winners, but not enough of them, and several races have gone against us at crucial moments. A good example was LITTLETOWN LAD, who fell at the final flight when still in contention for a place. Fine margins like that can make a noticeable difference over a small sample.
On a more positive note, weβve still managed to find 15 winners in the first half of the month:
* LE SAMOURAI β 9/2 (8.19 BSP)
* SCRIABIN β 5/4 (2.14 BSP)
* SAALALL β Evens (1.85 BSP)
* INDALO β 10/3 (3.75 BSP)
* CAVO TAGOO β 10/3 (2.99 BSP)
* SAIL ON SAILOR β 3/1 SP (BOG) (4.82 BSP)
* KINGβS MERCHANT β 5/1 (6.46 BSP)
* LUCKY CAMINO β 7/4 (3.16 BSP)
* LUCKY SEVENS β 5/4 (2.30 BSP)
* CONQUER THE BREEZE β 15/8 (2.82 BSP)
* LEVENS HALL β 5/4 SP (BOG) (2.30 BSP)
* MELODY DE VEGA β 7/4 SP (BOG) (3.05 BSP)
* CLASSY CLARETS β 4/5 (1.57 BSP)
* PALAZZO PERSICO β 11/4 (4.00 BSP)
* HAVANA CLUB β 5/2 (3.63 BSP)
The each-way portfolio has also produced some decent returns, including VALEDICTORY winning at 10/3, POOROLDMACKLEY running a big race to finish fourth at 11/1 (with four places available), and SADIES DIAMOND finishing third at 22/1.
Iβve also received a few emails over the past couple of weeks offering feedback and suggestions. I genuinely appreciate everyone who has taken the time to get in touch. The messages have been constructive and respectful, and Iβll be replying to those points as time allows.
Horse racing has a habit of testing your patience. During losing runs, it can feel as though every close finish goes against you and itβs difficult to imagine the tide turning. Equally, when everything is clicking, it can feel like the winners will never stop coming. The reality is usually somewhere in the middle.
The focus hasnβt changed. Weβll continue analysing every race, looking for value, and trusting the process that has delivered strong long-term results. There are still plenty of opportunities left in July, and Iβm looking forward to seeing what the second half of the month brings.
As always, thank you for your continued support and good luck for the rest of July.
